A long Journey

A long Journey

We arrived back in Japan 2 days ago.

Getting here was hard this time, for some reason I’ve been feeling extremely nervous and anxious about coming back here, so much so that I almost cancelled my flight numerous times. But somehow, I got here.

After a 2 hour coach to London, an 11 hour flight to Tokyo, a connecting 2 hour flight to Fukuoka, 1 hour on a really old Shinkansen bullet train and an over priced taxi ride, me and Riku are back in our apartment in Kudamatsu City.

We arrived home at 2pm on Saturday the 6th of January, slept at 4pm and then didn’t wake up until 9am the next day – safe to say we have rested well, and seem to be tackling jet lag head on.

I think I have a tough journey ahead of settling back in here, and I’m not sure what the outcome will look like, but I guess its all about these kinds of experiences.

If you have ever experienced an extreme form of homesickness and have an understanding of how to deal with it, please leave a comment below.

For now, I’ll keep smiling.
